Lives and Families have been fractured, shattered, and destroyed by addiction, suicide, depression, substance abuse and alcohol abuse.  John Mitchell has a long & happy marriage and three kids that are a source of pride.  He knows what a happy and healthy family looks and loves like & his personal mission is to restore interrupted lives and families.

Judge John T. Mitchell has served the people of northern Idaho as a District 1 Court Judge for 14 years.  John Mitchell fought for and created Drug Court to save lives, salvage families, and provide solutions.  He has expanded the battle to find solutions to address mental health issues.  

However, the first thing his friends and family will tell you is that John has never forgotten where he came from in Idaho, his Father's legacy of ethics, professional conduct, or his care and compassion for everyone.  Judge John T. Mitchell has set his standards high, and will not stop fighting until meaningful results are achieved in areas that affect all of us.  Addiction, suicide, and mental health issues reach across the country to affect our neighborhoods, our friends, and our families.
